There must be something very special about the elegant Swiss Tag Sport watches. For having been the trend setter for more than a century. They have proved their worth over and over. Its true there are certain features common to all the sport watches; like water resistant, chronograph movement, sturdy, a bit soldierly looking [to match the U Boat criteria], date and day display…..but what makes it stand out of the crowd. It is unequivocal thrust of keeping a head of time. They managed to ride the tide by contributing towards the overall development of the watch industry. Heuer produced chronographs for other brands as well; whereas the other brand was less expensive than them. These watches are lovingly called the poor man’s watches by their users. This adds a very interesting dimension to a sensible way of collecting chronographs. Further more if a chronograph is available in replica form; like the fake Tag watches, then it gets much easier to acquire one. There is no difference between the two visually, except that they are not as water proof as their originals. Therefore one just needs to care not to dive, swim or shower with the watch.
